The Veterans' Tribute Trail will enable visitors to experience a timeline of American wars starting with the rich history of our very own Old Abe, the war eagle of the Civil War 8th Wisconsin Volunteer infantry, through to the conflicts of present day. The trail will be a place to educate visitors about the sacrifices made by those that came before them, historical documentation and actual stories from our local Veterans that experienced the wars firsthand. Most importantly, the tribute offers a gathering place to hold Veteran and community events alike. A place to rest, reflect and pay tribute to our Veterans', past, present and future.
Lien & Peterson Architects has been involved with the Veteran's Tribute Trail form very early stages of the design process. Our involvement has included collaboration with the Foundation to design a trail and park to honor all vetrerans from Eau Claire County. Through this design we have create AutoCAD drawings, 3D Views of the proposed Statuary in the park, a fly through of the proposed site along with attending various foundation pitch and board meetings.
